MY HISTORY

1982. Born. Wichita, KS

1992. Sees long haired, crazy facial expression drummer in church and immediately says “I want to do that..” starts playing

2000. Goes to film school at the University of Kansas. Meets wife. Leaves.

2003. Begins recording demos for bands at night in the back of a friend’s dad’s roofing company office

2006. Sets up a studio in three bedroom house in Arlington, TX. Produces the debut Memphis May Fire EP. First label release. People start to notice.

2007. Produces Forever the Sickest Kids debut single and EP. It EXPLODES. Major Labels, Screaming girls, all of it. Rockwell Media Group studios opens in an old brick building at 101 S. Mesquite Street in downtown Arlington

2008-2012. Non stop production with the best in the scene including FTSK, Artist Vs Poet, Crown the Empire, and more. Worldwide tours. 2 different studio spaces. hundreds of thousands of records sold. millions of fans losing their minds. Starts a record label. Record label fails miserably. Lives to fight another day.

2013-2018. New studio space in Fort Worth, TX on the east side (still there to this day). Begins experimenting with other genres (acoustic, R&B, Country, etc). Manager and Music Director for Reagan James. Sells out local shows regularly. Tours the country again. Inks licensing deal with Musicbed. Lands syncs with major brands like Invisalign and major shows like Grey’s Anatomy.

2018-2020. Continues to make records with the best independent artists in the south. Forms synthwave group PRIZM which in the first months of existence, lands more major brand syncs (Sephora, Disneyland, top Spotify playlist spots, and a record deal with electronic heavy hitter FiXT. Drums for Gateway Church at campuses throughout the DFW area.

2020-Current. Moves studio to Downtown Fort Worth. Southside Recorders is born. Develops synth-metal project Daedric, racking up millions of streams and going viral multiple times. Expands studio services to include audio post for picture. Works with major brands like Dickies and major films like Killers of the Flower Moon (Martin Scorsese). Moves to Fort Worth. Builds a house in River East. 18th Wedding Anniversary.
